New Feature Enhancement: Escalation – Now with Seconds Support!

We’re excited to share a new improvement to Zingtree’s Escalation functionality, you can now configure escalations in seconds!

Previously, the shortest available delay (outside of immediate escalation) was 1 minute. With this update, Authors now have the flexibility to set time-based escalations using seconds, making it easier to design workflows that depend on near-immediate but slightly delayed actions, especially useful for nodes interacting with external data or APIs.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Customizable Escalations: You can now set escalation delays like 5s, 15s, or 45s—whatever best fits your workflow needs.

  • Unobtrusive Behavior: Escalations set to under 1 minute will not trigger an in-workflow alert when they occur, as these are typically meant for subtle or background actions.

  • No Offline Queuing: These shorter escalations are not queued if the workflow is closed before the timer runs out. This means no backend escalation is triggered if the session ends early.

This enhancement opens up more precise control for authors building time-sensitive, data-driven experiences.

As always, let us know how you're using this and share feedback in the comments below!
