Author Roles: Setting up Super Users and Billing Admins

An Author can have both the Super User and Billing Administrator roles enabled. These are the abilities of each role:

The Super User is an Author with special permissions. A Super User can:

  • See and edit all trees in the Organization
  • Add new Apps and Integrations
  • Set up Data Connected Objects (if enabled on the account)
  • Set up Knowledge Search sources and other Data Sources (if enabled on the account)
  • Add/remove/edit Authors
  • Add/edit Organizations and their preferences
  • Change/update Author Roles

A Billing Administrator can only:

  • Manage subscriptions
  • Receive billing notifications

You can have as many Super Users and Billing Admins as you like.

 

Setting up Super Users and Billing Admins Roles

A Super User can set other authors as a Super User and/or Billing Administrator

  1. Go to Team > Authors

  2. Choose the Author whose role you'd like to change by clicking on their email address in the list.
  3. Click the Change Author Role button.
  4. Enable the Roles you'd like to assign to this Author:
  5. Click Save
