After configuration, Connected Objects can be integrated into Zingtree flows. A Data Connected Node can then:

  • Retrieve data from external systems.
  • Create or update records dynamically.
  • Display information in real-time during flows.

Step 1: External Sources

Your Solutions Architect has likely created and configured External Sources and Connected Objects to connect to your external data. Once those are in place, an Author can implement Data Connected Nodes as described below.

Step 2: Add a Data Connected Node

  1. Add a new node to your tree and choose the Data Connected Node type.
  2. Configure the Data Connected Node by first selecting the name of your Connected Object from the drop-down list:
  3. Select which node should be displayed next:

  4. Important: Click the Add Object Button to Save.
  5. A Data Connected Node can use more than one Object. Add more as necessary. Don't forget to Add Object to save.

Step 3: Display the Response

The next node (or any node downstream from the Data Connected Node can display the result. Using Syntax or Dynamic Views
